PORTRAITS

Portraits are available from photos or sittings in person. For portraits from photos, you will need to provide one or more clear focus photographs taken without flash, along with a brief description of what you do and do not want. Let me know if you have a deadline for a Birthday or Anniversary.

A deposit of 25% is required to start with the remainder due upon completion and your approval based on photos of the completed work sent for your review. Once payment is received your portrait will be shipped. Clients may choose to visit Santa Fe and work with me in my studio. The prices below are starting prices and do not include fees for travel and lodging.

Contact the Artist with your ideas and to start the process of completing a portrait.

STILL LIFE COMMISSIONS

Still Life commissions often grow out of a need for a painting in a specific room, either in a home or a corporate environment. There may be special size and color requirements that can be easily translated
in the artistic process of still life. Interior designers have worked with me to harmonize a large project with original fine art. Work is created in consultation with the artist and client and often leads to satisfying ideas that both sides are surprised by.

Presented below is the presentation drawing for the still life “Captain’s Table”, a commissioned work which included input from the clients. All of the objects on the table are a part of the client’s personal collection of nautical antiques. He wanted the collection to be featured and she wanted a grand “hotel bouquet”. Together we agreed on the size needed for their living room and the design was presented as the drawing shown before the painting was begun.

Prices for still lifes are variable depending on size and the complication of the subject matter. Payment of 50% is required to start with the remainder due upon completion and approval by the client. Work will not begin on the actual painting until the client has approved the design drawing.
